April Monthly Medal

It was a close contest for the Monthly Medal last Saturday. Congratulations go to Bob Naismith who took out the medal with a magnificent nett 66. Bob had a solid front nine, making the turn nett 2 under, then making par on the first three holes of the back nine. It came down to the last hole which Bob managed a par, giving him the medal on count back.

Leanne Bambridge Memorial Day

The annual Leanne Bambridge Memorial Day was hosted last Friday, raising funds for the Leukemia Foundation. 174 players competed in a 3 person Ambrose competition with a car on the line for a hole in one on the 14th hole. This was lived streamed all day, so if you are interested in seeing if anyone was successful please click the link below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p67PnPcYLnw

Golf West Gippsland Championships
Congratulations to Ryan Hammond, who once again was victorious in the West Gippsland Championships held at Traralgon last month.

That is all for now, but I’ll leave you with this quote from American Radio Broadcaster Paul Harvey.

“Golf is an awkward set of bodily contortions designed to produce a graceful result”.
