Local Rules

Just a reminder – all temporary stakes and ropes on the course that are protecting vulnerable areas are IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS.  They may not be moved to play your ball. If they interfere with your stance and swing, you are entitled to relief, dropping your ball at the nearest point of relief, no closer to the hole.  Additionally, if your ball is within 2 club lengths of these stakes and the stake is in your line of play, you are also entitled to relief.

That’s all for now and I’ll leave you with a quote from UK politician George Robetson

“My favorite shots are the practice swing and the conceded putt.  The rest can never be mastered.”
