September Monthly Medal
Congratulations to Pete Smith on winning the Monthly Medal for September. A good start out of the blocks saw Pete net 2 under after 4 holes before giving those shots back on the 7th & 8th holes. A par on the 9th hole had him making the turn 1 under handicap. A bit of a stumble in the middle of the back nine was overcome by back to back birdies on the 15th & 16th holes, gaining the 3 shots dropped from the previous holes finishing the round with a net 71, 1 shot clear of the field.
Drouin Family Hotel Challenge
After his win in Saturday’s Monthly Medal, Pete Smith has jumped 11 places to sit atop the leaderboard. Pete is 77 points clear of Craig Stevens, who has dropped to 2nd place. Last years winner Chris Stoker is sitting in 3rd place, a further 116 points behind. Rhys Rata and Jake Simpson tied for 4th place, 111 points behind 3rd. Full results are on the notice board.
Men’s White Course
The men’s white course has now been added to the MiClub database. This course is played from the Red Tees and is available to be played by any male players in competitions. If players wish to use these tees, please advise us when paying your competition fee and your Daily Handicap will be adjusted according to the course rating. Players playing the White Course are eligible to win the daily competition, however will be ineligible to win any board or trophy events eg. Monthly Medal, Club Championships.
Saturday’s Nearest The Pins
Thanks to Stuey Low, we now have sponsored prizes for 3 of the nearest the pins on Saturday competitions for the next 20 weeks. The prize for the hole will be displayed on the card next to the green. Both Men & Ladies are eligible for prizes. The Pro Pin will remain as normal for the other hole.
Grand Final Day
The competition on Grand Final Day (September 30th) will be a Stableford competition with a Shotgun Start commencing at 8:00am. The time sheet is now open for bookings.
Premier League
Thanks to the teams who have registered again for this upcoming season. There is still room for new teams to join this competition. The concept will remain the same, with 6 players per team and the top 2 scores counting towards the team total. For more information please ask me and I’ll explain the full details of the competition.
